Acne Solution
Pimples, spots, zits! Acne is a problem that millions of people of all ages suffer from, not just teenagers. But is there an acne solution? The first step toward solving a problem is understanding it, so let’s look at what causes acne in the first place. Acne is basically a matter of the pores of your skin, usually on your face, being clogged with dirt, oil, or dead skin cells. Sometimes the skin is producing more oil that it should be. Therefore one of the first steps to take is cleaning your skin daily.
It’s best to wash your face both in the morning and in the evening, to help clear off the days’ accumulated dirt. Air pollution, cigarette smoke, and other toxins make their way into your pores all day long. If you wear make-up, it’s especially important to ensure it’s all washed off at the end of the day. Use warm water to open your pores, and a face wash especially designed as an acne solution. Be sure to rinse the acne face wash off completely, and rinse with cooler water to help close your pores again. Pat dry. Don’t ever scrub or dry roughly; be very gentle with your skin, which is going through enough without you beating it up.
Other acne solutions may be needed. There are many over-the-counter acne creams that are helpful in putting directly on each pimple which will help them to dry up and heal more quickly. Many of these are not meant to be used on the healthy parts of your face, and can be damaging or bleaching to hair or clothing, so read the directions and use carefully. Don’t ever squeeze your pimples; this doesn’t help and leads to scarring.
If you are concerned with finding a more natural acne solution, there are some home remedies you can try. A face mask that’s often recommended for acne-prone skin is made by mashing a banana and a spoonful of honey together. Leave on for ten minutes, and rinse. Toothpaste is often said to be great at clearing up a sudden red spot, if left on overnight. If you have a lot of problems with extra dead skin cells, you may want to try exfoliating, which means removing those skindcells. An easy way to do this is by making a paste of baking soda and water and gently rubbing in on the area. Be sure to rinse with cool water after all of these acne solutions. And speaking of water, always make sure you drink more water to help clear up acne faster.
Some cases of acne are more severe, and home remedies are not the acne solution for everyone. If your acne is very serious, and never seems to improve no matter what you try, make an appointment with a dermatologist, who will be able to offer you a stronger acne solution that is suited for your acne problem.
