Natural Acne Remedy

Do you find that buying acne creams and medications gets really expensive? Are you worried about the chemicals and man-made ingredients that are in all these products? Do you find that most of the time, they don’t’ even work? Maybe you should try a more natural acne remedy. There are many types of cures available that you can make in your own home with ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen.

The first natural acne remedy that everyone should try is drinking more water. It sounds simple, but many people don’t know about it. Your body needs eight cups of water a day, and when you don’t get enough, it’s your skin that suffers first. How is your skin supposed to be healthy and clear when it’s dehydrated? This can make it very difficult for the skin cells to clear out dirt and natural oils that cause acne in the first place. Many people have found that simply getting more water to drink each day helps their acne to get better on its own.

The second natural acne remedy is also very important – washing your face. Again, it seems quite obvious, but it’s so vital when dealing with acne that it never hurts to point it out. You don’t need anything special, just some water and a mild soap, although there are some natural acne remedy face washes you can make as well. We’ll tell you more about those in a moment, but first a few points about washing your face. It’s best to do it both morning and evening. Wash gently, don’t scrub, with warm (not hot) water. Be sure to rinse afterward, using cooler water, which helps to close the pores. Pat dry gently.

There are many natural acne remedy recipes you can make, for spot treatment or for daily washes. For natural treatment of pimples, garlic is often applied directly. A paste made of cinnamon powder and lemon juice is also effective for many cases. Toothpaste left on a spot overnight often reduces it remarkably.

Face washes are easily made. One of the simplest is tae left to cool to room temperature. Green tea, black tea, and herbal teas such as chamomile flower, which is particularly known to be good for skin, are all used commonly; see which one suits you best. You can also steep a variety of herbs like sage or rosemary in warm water to make a natural acne remedy.

With a little trial and error, you should be able to find the ideal natural acne remedy to leave your complexion clear and glowing.
